ExploreFrampton Mansell is a charming village which sits on the edge of the Cotswolds. It has a church and a village hall and the village stretches down to the valley with the River Frome, the railway and the disused Thames and Severn Canal. There are numerous beautiful and varied walks nearby.
There are many exciting gardens nearby to explore including Highgrove, Rodmarton Manor, Miserden Gardens and Painswick Rococo Garden.
GardensThe Cheltenham Racing Festival, Badminton and Gatcombe Horse Trials and the Cheltenham Festivals are all close by. There is a charming theatre in Cirencester, the Goods Shed Arts Centre in Tetbury and the Sub Rooms in Stroud - all offer an eclectic mix of entertainment.
Whats OnThe Crown sits in the heart of Frampton Mansell and the outside seating area provides a lovely place to watch the sun go down over the valley on a summer’s evening. In the winter there is a roaring fire inside which is cosy and welcoming. The friendly staff, traditional home cooked food, and local ales attract many of the locals.
The Bell at Sapperton offers delicious food and wines and it too has an outside seating area in the summer.

For those who love walking Well Farm is in the heart of beautiful countryside with a variety of valleys, ancient pasture and woodlands to explore. Nestled in the valley below the house you will find the nature reserve which features the River Frome and a stretch of the disused Severn and Thames Canal with its flood meadows. The wildlife here is abundant. Kate and Edward have lots of guide books on local walks and are always happy to advise.
Guests are welcome to use the family’s bicycles (at their own risk!). The Wild Carrot at Chavenage is a popular cycling destination. Sitting in the grounds of the historic Chavenage House near Tetbury, it is a quirky cafe offering delicious coffee, cakes and lunches.
There are many exciting gardens nearby to explore including the garden at Highgrove family home of Their Majesties The King Charles III and The Queen Consort. If you are planning a visit to Highgrove bookings need to be made well in advance.
Other gardens include Rodmarton Manor, Miserden Gardens with its delightful Glasshouse cafe and the famous Painswick Rococo Garden with the charming Exedra nursery. Sudeley Castle, Kiftsgate Court Gardens and Hidcote are among those further afield.
Westonbirt Arboretum containing one of the finest and most important collections of trees and shrubs in the world is well worth a visit.
Kate is always happy to show you round her garden and cutting garden. She runs a flower business called Kate Gordon Lennox Flowers providing flower designs for weddings and events. Many of the flowers she grows at Well Farm are used for her business.
